Automatic 30 Ton XRF Briquetting Press with Selective Interchangeable Die
Simple two button operation for briquetting, decompression and sample pellet ejection. Depress “Up” button for briquetting until desired force, tons, or pressure, PSI, is attained as indicated on the analog gauge. For dwell time, remove applied pressure to the “Up” button switch at the desired pressure and time before depressing “Down” button for decompression and pellet removal. Amazing fast ram travel speed expedites briquetting samples for XRF analysis.
Spindle with large knurled knob adapts to any conventional die height. Self-centering and self-aligning die feature integrated in the ram platform accepts optionally available 32, 35, 40 and 47 mm evacuable stainless steel dies. Analog gauge indicates force in one ton increments, up to 30 tons, and pressure, in 50 PSI increments, up to 3000 PSI. Small compact design for counter top operation. Lighted working chamber improves visibilitiy (available on 115 VAC systems).

Automatic 30 Ton Force Spectropress® with Integrated Die
This compact, contemporary designed automatic briquetting press represents the epitamy in operational simplicity, function and delivers an astounding 30 tons of force. It easily converts powdered samples into firm durable XRF sample briquettes with amazing speed and ease.
An integrated stainless steel die of choice completely eliminates handling inclusive of briquetted sample removal. Ejection is automatically performed through the simplistic use of the up momentary control button. It raises the briquetted sample on the ram in readiness for removal. The up button is also used for the briquetting sequence; the down control button is used to change direction of the ram to a lower position in readiness for inserting and pelletizing subsequent powdered samples.
Briquetting progress is monitored with an analog gauge calibrated to measure force from 0 to 30 tons, in 1 ton increments, and 0 to 3000 psi, in 50 psi increments. The momentary feature of the up control button permits disengaging the briquetting process at the desired force and for implementing dwell time. Similarly, the down control button allows stopping the stroke for introducing another powdered sample in readiness for briquetting.
The integrated dies are precision manufactured with close tolerances to accept tapered compressible aluminum PelletCups® with a minimum of space between the bore diameter and the sample cup. This minimizes sample particle entrapment, maintains cleanliness and cross contamination possibilities. Choose from 32, 35 and 40 mm diameter dies.
The working chamber is backlit with fluorescence lighting for better visibility. This feature is only available with 115 VAC/60 Hz installations.
Fast, Simple and Convenient to Use
- Introduce sample on ram preferably contained in a compressible tapered aluminum PelletCup.
- Depress “down” button until Pellet Cup is retracted.
- Insert Briquetting Cap.
- Rotate Anvil over Briquetting Cap.
- Depress “up” button until desired tonnage or PSI is attained.
- If dwell is required remove pressure applied to “up” button for a timed interval.
- Depress “down” button to retract the ram.
- Rotate Anvil to back position.
- Depress “up” button to extract Briquetting Cap and briquetted sample.
