Stainless Steel Briquetting Dies
Precision ground and fabricated from heat-treated stainless steel to provide extraordinary high scratch and scoring resistance. Close manufacturing tolerances ensure precision fits with stainless steel and tungsten carbide pellets; an important issue for tapered compressible aluminum PelletCups® usage. This unparalleled detailed attention is a mandatory in minimizing or eliminating the potential possibility of spillages leading to sample particle entrapment between the die bore and sample cup. There is adequate space to allow the PelletCups to gently float down into the die cavity on a cushion of entrapped air.
Available in three diameters to produce 32, 35 and 40 mm samples for XRF sample preparations. Supplied with a side arm for attaching a vacuum hose in briquetting conditions dictating evacuation. Consists of: base, main cylindrical body, two optically polished stainless steel pellets, plunger, collection cup and a set of “O” rings for vacuum applications. The maximum force is indicated on each die set as a safety reminder.
Note: For best results and close tolerances, use with Compressible Tapered Aluminum and plastic PelletCups™
