Vented Snap-On Caps for the 1500 Series Sample Cups
Snap-On Caps are specifically designed for use in conjunction with the 1500 Series XRF Sample Cups for equalizing pressure differentials. They share the same geometric configuration to Snap-On Rings for window attachments.
When assembled to the sample cups, a series of physical barriers is created. They serve to increase the difficulty for liquid and powdered sample material to escape especially during the initial surge of evacuation by vacuum. In helium, the introduction of the inert gas into the sample cup is facilitated through the four slits maintaining a taut sample plane-to-excitation source distance.
Snap-On Caps additionally serve as effective closures for sample containment under atmospheric pressure in readiness for subsequent re-applications.
